Little Girl’s Bedroom

Wylde Green, Birmingham

“A bright, airy child’s bedroom out of the ashes of an unused boxroom”

The clients wanted an open feel to the new bedroom with as little closed storage as possible, apart from an inherited chest of drawers. Their vision was ‘to feel like they were in a meadow’. Floral mural wallpaper and a matching rug brought that vision to life and the clothes rail gave the room an open feel without crowding the floor space.

It was decided upon that paint zoning above the bed would help give that space a specific area. This way the client’s daughter would have a dressing, a playing, a reading and a sleeping area without feeling hemmed in. Final details such as a rabbit light, hidden bookcase and a bird wire light finished the look perfectly.
